The Space of the Mind

Where there is greed,

There is grasping;

The space of mind is then clogged.

Where there is hatred,

There is opposing;

The space of mind is therefore diminished.

Where there is ignorance,

There is delusion;

The space of mind becomes blurred.

Where there is arrogance,

There is discriminating;

The space of mind is thus unbalanced.

 Where there is doubt,

There is rejecting;

The space of mind is consequently obstructed.

.

When there is no greed,

There will be no grasping;

The space of mind is then unlimited.

When there is no hatred,

There will be no opposing;

The space of mind is therefore expanded.

When there is no ignorance,

There will be no delusion;

The space of mind becomes transparent.

When there is no arrogance,

There will be no discriminating;

The space of mind is thus equanimous.

 When there is no doubt,

There will be no rejecting;

The space of mind is then widely open.
