A Chan journey has no span
Starting out from mind
In light of mind has cultivation begun
Immaculate nature of original mind
Complete with samādhi and insight
Due to ignorance and delusion
Beings roam in cycles of birth and death
Turn within and contemplate
Going inward from outside
Break through fog of confusion
Fundamental nature of mind thus seen
The boundless Chan journey
The long, long road of Chan
Penetrating directly to the source of mind
Purity, perfection infinitely shine
